meritorious.cos

From learning new skills, making outfits and battle axes from head to toe, they have gained so much experience and loves to push themselves and other people to be a better version of themselves, everyday!

“Hey everyone! I’m so excited to be coming back for another year at Ani-Medford! I hope to see y’all there, we’re all gonna have a wonderful time together and I hope y’all stop by my booth because I have some fun things planned for y’all! Especially if you like Avatar: The Last Airbender! Come, sit with me, have some cactus juice, and maybe a game of Pai Sho?”

animedford2024_guest_Consul of Cosplay.png

consul of cosplay

"Hello everyone, I am your Consul of Cosplay! I have been cosplaying since 2009 and I’m excited to be at Ani-Medford!

Cosplay is my favorite hobby — and I’ve gained a bit of a reputation for being up for anything: My favorite character from a show is over nine feet tall? I’ll get myself some stilts. Need a seven foot scythe that can be taken on an airplane? I’ll grab the insulation foam. You want to cosplay a super niche duo? Count me in. You're getting together a nineteen person group? Sign me up! Having attended 100+ conventions all across the country, I have hosted, judged, and competed in many competitions, as well as running many, many panels.

I am always looking for new ways to incorporate my other hobbies into Cosplay — whether it be singing, dancing, juggling, spinning flags or colorguard rifles, taking photos or editing videos, or even putting my stunt performance training to use! I love crafting, building and creating costumes, and getting to “play” at being someone else for a little while.

I am so excited to bring my experiences to Ani-Medford!"

ECHOCHIPS

"My name is EchoChips and I'm excited to be back at Ani-Medford for a third year! I'm a Southern Oregon local and Pacific Northwest cosplayer focused on bringing fandom content to life through cosplay! I have been a cosplayer for over 15 years, making and wearing cosplays from many forms of media. I particularly enjoy incorporating unicycled and thrifted goods into my projects, as well as creating lasting memories with my friends and community through my hobby."

animedford2024_guest_Mutt Rib Cosplay.png

MUTT RIB COSPLAY

Originally from the LA area, Mutt Rib (They/ Them) has been involved in the theatrical and fine arts since they were 11-years-old and officially cosplaying since 2017. With a background in stagecraft, FX makeup, traditional mixed-media, and a degree in Multimedia, their focuses range from fabricating costumes and props to coordinating photoshoots with FX compositing. Their main cosplay focuses are on nostalgic video games and anime, though they are known to join a group or inside-joke cosplay when tempted. Some of their favorites include: Legend of Zelda, Hades, Dorohedoro, Dororo, Inuyasha, Kimietsu no Yaiba, Jijitsu Kaisen, and more!

Mutt has won various awards for their prop building and overall design engineering when adjusting designs for functionality, however, their favorite part of cosplaying is interacting with fellow cosplayers to talk shop or brainstorm techniques and use of materials. And as a past gallery director, their passion for the arts and community are the main drivers in their goals to promote healthy relationships between creatives and their craft (especially for those dealing with burnout or chronic pain) as well as encouraging others to join the fun.
